
Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP)
The Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) provides an opportunity for students to participate in an 8-week research internship at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer. The goals of SEAP are to encourage participating students to pursue science and engineering careers, to further their education via mentoring by laboratory personnel and their participation in research, and to make them aware of DoN research and technology efforts, which can lead to employment within the DoN.

Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP)
The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) provides college students an opportunity to participate in a 10-week research program at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer. The goals of NREIP are to encourage participating students to pursue science and engineering careers, to further education via mentoring by laboratory personnel and their participation in research, and to make them aware of DoN research and technology efforts, which can lead to employment within the DoN.

Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART)
Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program has been established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing technical degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The program aims to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DoD laboratories.

NAWCAD Summer Internships – RADIATE & AESIP
AESIP – July 8 to July 26, 2019 (2019 application period is now closed)
Aviation Electronics and Sensors Internship Program (AESIP) provides high school seniors and rising college freshmen with opportunities to experience many different technologies applied across Naval Aviation. Interns will gain hands-on learning of various technologies such as unmanned aircraft systems, night vision goggles, SONAR, LASERS, radios, RADAR systems and more.
RADIATE – July 29 to August 16, 2019 (2019 application period is now closed)
Radio frequency and Antenna Demonstration and Instruction for Advancing Technology Education (RADIATE) provides high school seniors with an opportunity to learn about radio waves and radar technologies, gain hands-on learning of radar technology and participate in on-station tours of laboratories.
Interns will prepare PowerPoint slides to brief leadership at the end of their internship.
